Welcome to the Rector’s Lenten Book Club. We’re reading Henri Nouwen’s Life of the Beloved: Spiritual Living in a Secular World. You can pick up a book in the Narthex on Sunday, or in the Church Office during the week (cost is $11.00). I’ve put together a reading schedule to keep us more or less on the same page, at least for the purposes of reflecting together. You’re welcome to read at your own pace of course, but each week we’ll be reflecting on a certain chapter.
You can use this blog to share ideas or comments, or to pose questions for the group. I hope this forum will enrich our shared reading of Life of the Beloved. My prayer for each one of you in this Lenten season is that you would come to know how astonishingly beloved you are in the eyes of God. And that you would have the grace to surrender to so great a love–and not to flee. Please pray for me, as well. We all need this!
